Travel Insurance
The decision to purchase travel insurance is an important one to make as you plan your trip. It can help protect against losing any non-refundable investments, help if an emergency occurs while you’re on your trip, and even help with lost luggage and flight delays.
We recommend travel insurance through Travel Insured. They provide you with high quality travel insurance at extremely competitive rates. Please note that while we are providing this link to our preferred partner, Freestate Travel LLC is not licensed to sell insurance directly. Why should I buy travel insurance?
There are several reasons why you may want to consider purchasing travel insurance. Here are some questions for you to consider when deciding if travel insurance is right for you:
- Can you afford to miss your trip and lose your vacation investment (if something goes wrong due to illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances)?
- Can you afford to cover the cost of returning home if you are forced to end your trip abruptly?
- Does your medical insurance cover you whenever and wherever you travel?
- Would you know what to do in an emergency situation while overseas?
- If your existing medical insurance provides coverage while you are on your trip, can you afford to pay high deductibles or copayments imposed when you are outside the standard service area?
- If your bags are lost, or if you have to spend an extra night because of weather-related problems, can you afford to buy replacement necessities and pay for extra lodging?

This may include needing to leave your destination due to a covered Natural Disaster, the order by the U.S. State Department, or if you are expelled or declared persona non-grata by a country you are visiting on your trip. All evacuation arrangements must be made by the designated assistance provider listed in your policy.

Select policies may allow you to recover your non-refundable trip deposits if your vacation time is revoked, if your job is transferred more than 100 miles from your current residence, or if you are required to work during your scheduled trip.
